‘Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards’
Soren Kierkegaard
It's been a huge decade for energy plays. However, I’m only going to talk about one play, our beloved Falcon Oil & Gas. Most of you are familiar with the Falcon story that started its beginnings in Hungary five years ago in 2005. Since then, it has endured a lot of ups and downs. Nevertheless, if you have been ‘tuning in’ for the last few months, you’ve witnessed the emergence of a company from being a single prospect generator to a portfolio builder. Under Dr.Szabó’s leadership you’ll find an assemblage of highly specialized technical and commercial skills to generate exploration concepts. Of course there are a few hurdles immediately ahead of Falcon, but I’m confident that they will overcome.
Looking ahead, I see several of those hurdles being solved by 28 February 2010. That’s being the deadline for Exxon to announce its decision to move to Phase-2. Of course, you all know that I do firmly believe that Exxon will be the operator in the Makó trough.
Let us look forwards.
