It seems to me you are insinuating the commercials, XOM spread in TV chanels last year.It is said they spent 450 MM US Dollars to bring to mind to millions of viewers and investors all over the world,that they are the only explorers to achieve the impossible in terms of unconventional Gas plays,on shore as well as off shore.......

I can assure you that EXXON did not broadcast any more of this crap since November 2009.

We all know that technical mistakes and serious inconsistencies happened during drilling and fracing the Hod 1 and Mind 1.After having failed in those two previous wells Exxon approached the last task at the "earth well" halfhearted and with mingled feelings.The fact that XOM decided to throw in the towel after 2 fracs and the discrepancies in terms of another one or more fracs shows their undeserving attitude as an explorer.

The proven fact of underestimating the danger of a giant Aquifer in a Thermal Trough has taken EXXON entirely by surprise.It seems that EXXON was already finished with the Trough on both sides of the fence after the results on the MOL side.....

Investors who found out about the rumours of the desaster at HOD 1 and MIND 1 jumped the ship as quick as they could in the days after the SP has reached 76 cents.Since then the SP was constantly descending down to 42 cents,even breaking through the support at 50 cents.

EXXON tried to whitewash their own mistakes as the operator in the MAKO Trough covering the area with a burial shroud concealing their own mistakes and deficiencies.

Looks to me they draw a lesson from the last 3 unsuccessful attempts in a row,merging with XTO to avert such a desaster in the future.

The order to stop the commercials and drop Hungary might have been decisions of the sam day.To send XTO down to Hungary and start the play again carried the risk ,that XTO could make the Trough running, what would be demonstrating Exxons complete inability and exclusive power of a major.

The Mako Trough literally ran rings around EXXON and they delivered much more damage to the Trough than value.

From my point of view,I am happy to have lost EXXON,assuming the value of the Trough ist still alive.

After all we can figure out that it takes more than EXXON to crack this nut.
