• Russia threatening "measures other than diplomacy" in response to America's pledge to Poland. (selling Fannie/Freddie bonds? Treasuries?)
• Pakistan/Afghanistan going all to hell
• US may withdraw from Iraq (will be taken as weakness in Arab eyes)
• Iran says it will stop all shipments in Straight of Hormuz

Fingers of instability EVERYWHERE. HOLD ON to your gold shares. I would not dream of trading this market. Things are unraveling VERY, VERY quickly. There may be more interventions, but the fundamentals will be very tough to fight here. I'm personally thinking there may be several days of delicious long candlesticks ahead.
