Sooner or later it will come to its' senses. Interference in offshore drilling will bring it that much sooner. I'll just keep quietly accumulating.

I don't think the general North American population knows about or cares about peak oil. Right now, they worry about their jobs or lack of jobs. They worry about the financial markets and the mortgage meltodown. It's one of the crises of democracies -short sighted thinking, reacting to what the voting public thinks.
