everyone has their own way of re-posting information, and the only important aspect is to give credit where it is due. my personal technique is to limit to size of the re-posting to roughly 400 words, provide a link for those who want to read the entire article, and of course to give credit to the author. some web sites get paid based on the number of hits, so the author may resent having his entire work re-posted elsewhere. how you re-post is up to you, but as you say, getting the information out is what really matters. it's just that if an author or analyst thinks his work is being pirated, he may stop publishing for free, and that is to everyone's loss.
