Dear DISCHINO.

Thank you very much for your comments and for your patience over the arousal of SPAM on our Community Boards. The easy solution would be to create a content filtering system - this would block certain words and URL's from being posted on our boards. The reason we haven't set one up yet is because they are quite easy to bypass.

For instance, instead of these SPAMMER's using their home URL. If we also filter these sites, the next work around would be to separate the ".com" or ".net" fields from their primary domain (e.g. www (dot) spamstocks (dot) net).

If we filter words, we might be blocking otherwise legitimate content.

As you are aware, this group (we know who they are - it's a professional spammer) are quite determined; they visit our site and many of our competitors sites more than once a day. The IP's are either masked, or proxied.

While several complaints to SpamCop and other agencies have been filed, we ask for your patience and your perseverance in helping us identifying these messages the moment they become published.

As long as we work hand it hand, we will continue deleting these posts and accounts as soon as they are identified (we have had our hands full on the backend as well) to bring an end to this group that is the plague of our industry.

Thanks again for your thoughts and insights on this issue, and of course for your contributions to the AGORACOM Community.

Regards,
AGORACOM
