Since there is nothing defaming about this post and stockhouse.com deleted it, I am posting Capman's post on this board.

Capman:

Comments on the Paradigm report dated 31 Jan 18

Sorry, but this is a bit clumsy, I had to  convert it from their pdf. Their original in black, my opions in italic underlined:

Significant Storage Increase and Cost Decrease
Investment Thesis. EEStor Corp., through its 71% ownership of EEStor, is the global leader in Barium Titanate energy storage technology, at all energy density levels. The current focus is to commercialize product in the high-voltage capacitor market. This is a high risk but potentiallylarge return investment vehicle

Pure BS. They have no position in BT energy storage, they have no sales or credible product. High voltage caps or Energy storage?

EEStor released Phase 6 testing data from its CMBT capacitor development program.
And the reports are wrong, some values off by a billion times, The 3 reports contradict each other

Highlights

Phase 6 Test Results | EEStor’s capacitor testing highlights include:
Energy and power densities deep in the Super Capacitor Field NO! They erred. One cannot calculate ED in the range where its unstable, or with high leakage current

A huge increase in energy storage of 35x to 5.2 watt hours/litre: Wrong: the actual
energy is below 1 wh/l

o     Power density is also significant at 100,000 watts/kg NO! They lose half the energy in. That not storage, its a heater
o     Material cost decrease of 10x due to polymer formulation Not credible, the cost of copper alone will kill them
o     Stable up to 3,000 volts. No, they break down at 2500
o     Long-life, low cost and temperature stable opening up new future market verticals of up to US$2B in annual sales. They have never tested life, they are
unstable with temperature using thier own test data

u       Capacitor  Activity  |  With  these  impressive  polymer  CMBT  results  in  hand,
EEStor is currently working to move the energy density goal to the 10–15 watt
hours/litre range, which would be in the lower end of the battery market. Work is also progressing in parallel on the ceramic/glass substrate arena. Can't happen, the
product is too unstable and expensive

u       Partnerships Should Ensue | With these strong and game-changing results, we
expect EEStor to be able to sign partnerships with one or more of the large capacitor manufacturers. No top tier manufacture would burden themselves. They turned it
down once, I doubt if they will look again. It is inferior to what they are already selling, and have been for decades

u       Increasing Public Information Effort | EEStor has worked very diligently for
some time on advancing the technology with no disclosure on its progress until this week. It believes that having established a technological lead it will now offer more disclosure to the public as milestones are reached.  EEStor believing it, does not
make it real. They have believed they were in the money for 15 years

u       Disruptive Technology | We recognize that EEStor’s technology has the
potential to be very disruptive, owing to the inherent high-energy storage capability of the CMBT compound that it has developed and patented. How can it be disruptive
when it's electrical and physical parameters are inferior to what OEM's are already using? In my experience, customers are loathe to change any qualified component in basellined systems. Just the DF is higher than others, too high for most applications

Valuation & Conclusion

EEStor is pushing hard on both the capacitor and energy storage fronts and is achieving significant success, but progress is slower than management anticipated. With performance of the polymer-CMBT mix now better than many super capacitors, a larger end market is potentially attainable and confidence in our forecast is improved, but moved out one year due to the passage of time. The company will require additional equity capital and we are increasing our shares outstanding by 8M. We are maintaining our valuation metrics of a 15% discount rate and a 10–14x target EBITDA range. Our new target price is $0.85 (from $1.00) and we maintain our Buy rating.

They should compare, parameter by parameter, their results with any supercapacitor. They are inferior. Andy ED device that only returns half the energy put in, is not adequate, and it dangerous. Their part would heat, and likely catch on fire.

RESEARCH NOTE | January 31, 2018

EEStor Corp.

New Future Market Verticals Opened
The most recent performance data opens additional potential markets for EEStor in the super  capacitor space. Expected applications of the polymer-CMBT mix include the grid storage, wind, automotive, aircraft, laptop, camera, power backup, memory, UPS, solid state disc drive and railway wayside market sectors. The demand for smaller, yet higher storage capacity than current capacitors  is expected to drive the super capacitor demand over the next 10 to 15 years. EEStor ‘s polymer – CMBT mix can provide:
·        Higher energy storage No, they are at less than 1 wh/l. Commercial ceramic are about 5, and Evans electrolytic are about 10. Batteries are pushing 1000.

·        Smaller footprint

No, commercial capacitors are less than half the footprint.

·        Longer life
No life test has ever been run on them. The standard conditions are full rated voltage at maximum temperature. I expect they would be dead within hours, if not minutes

·        Lower cost

As long has they have copper substrates, their cost will kill them.

EEStor’s technology remains disruptive.

Adds Radiant Technologies as Certified Standard Testing Protocol
Since EEStor’s polymer–CMBT mix is a non-linear dielectric it has added Radiant Technologies Inc. as its third independent testing firm. Radiant is an industry leader testing and characterizing the electrical properties of non-linear materials. Radiant testing equipment is an industry standard in the micro- electronics field and EEStor is having a radiant testing unit and testing protocols based on this technology installed at its facility in Cedar Park, Texas.

Ceramic — High Voltage Capacitor Goals

·        Providing independent testing firms Intertek and MRA Labs  Inc.  with 4,  8 and 16-layered stacks for testing has been achieved with consistent, replicable and stable results. In the webinar, Dr Paul said they were not ready for Layers yet, they had to stabilize the single layer first.
·        This certified data and kits of these layers to be provided to interested potential licensees for the
high-voltage capacitor market. Not sure what he is trying to say.
·        Begin negotiations with potential licensing partners. As above, why would established companies, with betterproducts already, bother with a company with a poor reputation?

·        Dennis Zogbi will be actively engaged in this activity.

I doubt DZ will be involved with them, he has

a reputation to protect. When last asked, he said he wasn't

Polymer Based Energy Storage Goals

·        The EEStor team goal, including in-house and outside polymer experts, is to focus on maximizing the performance of its polymer substrates to optimize the energy storage capability of EEStor’s proprietary CMBT powders. Its not a substrate, its a matrix. Countless papers have shown that the dielctric constant can never be higher 3M and Dupont are already making the product, but they are not dreaming of ED.
·        The first goal is to find a highly polar, stable, flexible polymer substrate to achieve energy density greater than 10-15 watt hours/litre, which is the same energy density as a Pb-Acid battery, and to provide base-line data using this polymer. Note that EEStor’s power density would be 1,000x greater than Pb-Acid batteries (Figure 1). The higher power density means the EEStor product could store the same amount of energy as the Pb-Acid battery in a much smaller volume.

The above goal is expected to be achieved in the 2018 timeframe.

Thats not a goal, in my opinion, it is delusion
