Message: Verified Testing doesn’t mean much by itself

It amuses me, and shought frighten some, that people “assume” that because of “verified testing”, the markets are assured. It’s not. Nor does writing a couple papers establish anything except ignorance of the real world. Machining cylinders is not proof either.

All that was tested were a few parameters on a couple samples.

Aluminum caps like the 10 uF/200v from the LED lamp sell for cents. Making them with anyone’s ceramic will cost 10’s of dollars. That’s why they coexist along with other types. Each technology has its own sweet spot for cost and performance.

As for decoupling, that’s also very far fetched. A dozen companies around the world are making hundreds of millions a day. They sell for tenths of a cent, and facilities are at max output. They have established and qualified processes. Why would they even thing of switching or even testing, a cmbt that’s not as good?

Glass-ceramic is obsolete, it’s been replaced with base-metal electrodes in a cmbt That has permittivity in the 3-5000 range. They would consider a 900 permittivity?

And, besides, there are dozens of tests requires they have not bothered to run, (or did they)
