If someone said to you "here's a great business to invest in!" 

But you see they have no sales, no prospects, no experts in their field, have blown through a hundred million in 15 years, leaving only a trail of broken promises, and a facility in "hibernation".

Would you bite? 

But they have a great mission statement... that should be worth something.

That must account for the naive investing.
