You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
...that's not to say I don't think it'll come right back. It's just tough to see because I feel we already weren't getting a very generous valuation to begin with. And it's actually not getting hit the hardest on my watchlist right now. I'm now seeing a couple others that are looking just as bad if not worse.
