I agree. Low cost and quick admission. Better than high cost and sneaky pete.

That said, as management, do not waste my time by polishing a turd and telling me how proud I should be. I didn't invest with this company to feel proud of their efforts, or how well they can spread my money around. I am not here to reward effort.

I invested for results. Just tell me what you found, or what you didn't find, and carry on. I am not looking for the consolation prize. I don't need to be told what a winner I am.

Just get on with it.
