Saskatchewan's SECRET Gold Mining Development.
via Kitco.com - Pierre Lassonde
Pierre Lassonde comments on gold prices, as well as the possibility of a discovery being made. He specifically discusses Hemlo, which made the La Ronge Gold Belt an also-ran during that time.
Bear in mind that when they called the Jolu Mine, or the Rod Zone, part of the Mallard Lake deposits, the 'New Hemlo' in the papers, they were referring to the properties in the immediate vicinity of Mallard Lake, Star Lake, Blindman Lake, Rush Lake and Neyrinck Lake, some of which had been past producers briefly in the 1970's and 1980's.
The Jolu Mine provided almost all of the ore in the stockpile out of the Alimak zone, which was just to be a bulk sample, with only very little ore coming from the EP Pay Streak, and absolutely nothing from Komis. It's very clear from the stockpiles of the Roy Lloyd mine that none of the ore made it to the mill either, and is being preserved for later.
This is very apparent from Bing Maps aerial photos.
And yet, the technical reports are missing for those very same properties, within a stone's throw from the mill, where almost all of the work has gone on unannounced, where millions has been spent, and where all of the ore came from.
Thus you can grasp the extent of the utterly fabricated results in the last four years.
