About half of that announced drill program is done. The two drill crews are off until the end of the week, and then they're back to complete it. They still have one more hole to do at Timmins, and then they're up the road to Sugar Bush, and Laval's Mountain. They had a problem with the rig, so they shut down one hole before they would have done so.
Word is that the core being collected "exceeds expectations", and they remain on track to meet their 100 MM tonne target by year end. Depending on positive assays, of course. Gold mineralization in the quartz/diorite cannot be assumed.
And I should point out that this target tonnage is based on exploration only at Timmins/Ascot, which comprises about 0.6% of the Bellechasse Belt. And that figure includes the expanded zone of the soil surveys, which is only itself partly drilled. The original Timmins Zone exploration area was 0.05% of the Bellechasse claim package. And Bellechasse is only about 1/5 of the company's total claims in the Beauce. Lots of bluesky? You bet!
