Frank Candido
President, Director
Frank Candido has been an independent financial consultant since 1994. Mr. Candido led the takeover and subsequent implementation of new management, a new technical team and a re-vamped Board of Directors at Golden Hope. Mr. Candido was also a principal of Optimus Asset Management Inc., a Montreal-based company that he co-founded in 1994. Mr. Candido is currently the managing partner at Direct Financial Strategies and Communications, a company that he founded in 2006 and which specializes in the financing/consulting of private and public early stage and micro cap companies as well as providing on going public and investor relations services. Mr. Candido is a graduate of Concordia University and McGill University.
Larry Hoover
Chairman of the Board and Director
Mr. Hoover’s principal occupation is President and CEO of Larry Hoover Consulting Services Inc., a consulting services business, which provides research reports, scientific/technical support, and fund-raising assistance for the junior exploration sector. He also acts as President and CEO Red Ore Gold Inc., a private Ontario corporation, since 2012.
Roy Millington, BCL., LLB.
Director
Mr. Millington was Chief Counsel, Corporate, Rio Tinto Alcan. Rio Tinto Alcan is the aluminium division of Rio Tinto, an international mining company. Roy’s duties included corporate, compliance, commercial, human resources and project-oriented legal work. He was Corporate Secretary of Alcan Inc., an international aluminium company, until its acquisition by Rio Tinto in October 2007. He began his career with Alcan in 1989.
Michael A. Dehn
Director
Mr. Dehn has over 21 years of experience in the mining industry, spending the first 12 years of his career with Goldcorp in Toronto. He has worked in diamond, base metals, precious metals, industrial minerals, oil and natural gas, as well as sand, gravel and peat deposits, primarily in the Americas on private, public company and government projects. His combination of technical and business skills have led to the development of new economical hydrometallurgical processes on historical geological deposits.
Michael T. Zurowski, P.Eng
Director
Michael Zurowski’s principal occupation is Executive Vice President of Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation. Prior to joining Baffinland, Mr. Zurowski was an independent industry consultant and an associate at Watts Griffis and McOuat where he was the project manager for the Comprehensive Mineral Development Strategy for the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mr. Zurowski has more than 25 years’ experience in the management and evaluation of advanced projects including 15 years with the Rio Tinto Group, initially based in Canada, then in Africa and Europe with shorter stints in other parts of the world. Mr. Zurowski is a Professional Engineer graduating from the University of Toronto in 1984 with a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering.
