Message: why is ecu shares not rising
The reasons for forums like his one are that we discuss our opinions. You have your reservations and I have my optimism, between us we should come to an understanding.

My last post pointed out that the GOG resource report means little to ECU because though the results are good, but due to the substantial number of ECU shares the added resource number gets dilluted and it results only about ten cents more to ECU share price. Note that by today we are about that ten cents up and particularly in a day of gold and silver price drop.

Do not get yourself cought up in the hype around any expected event such as drill result or resource report. They often do make the share price go up or down but it is usually temporary, unless the results are more than expected.

The coming ECU report is expected to be at least 200 million ounces, should it not be as much, share price will likely drop, because that expectation is already priced in. On the other hand should it come out with 300 or more then the opposite should happen.
I am also expecting an overdue rise. The lack of one I attribute to these factors:

1. Some have been thrown back psychologically because the company has deemphasized production in favour of exploration. I happen to be in favour of that decision. But as a result no steady drill reports to fuel the interest fires. Many do not understand that and see as a negative, causes them to sell. Bashers thrive on that.

2. Some institutional investors being in the red due to financial risks that back-fired are in dire straits to sell to balance the books for the year otherwise they will look foolish and lose customers. (Goldman Sachs?)

3. There are also some potential investors that recognize a good deal and resort to scare tactics so they can load up with cheaper shares ( Note the emergance of bashers at Stockhouse and one lot trades ). No one bashes a stock that is not worth while - a sure sign.

4.Last, but not not Last, is that some ( perhaps you too ) expect the share price to more or less show a steady rise. Well not all stocks do that due to their nature. This one usually sits and then has a dramatic rise after a year or two. What is the difference if it rises a few percent each month ending in a 100% rise over a year OR sitting all year and then after that year having a sudden 100% rise. The difference is that it is more easily recognized as a good stock if it rises steadily but it takes a savy individual with a lot of patience to stick with a long sleeper and sudden riser. Often you have greater profits by coming in at the right moment.

This is my opinion, I do not have much invested but what I do I am sticking with it.
