I think if off topic is limited to natural resource stocks, there should not be a big problem, as I assume the overwhelming majority of those who post or visit are interested in like stocks, and also assume that in case they have no interest in other stocks, they at least have high speed internet, so no big deal to hit "next message."

 If, after several weeks, it proves a problem, of course, then it should be revisited.

 I also assume, posts like VHF's, which describe the demise of the US economy, would also be welcome, notwithstanding they are not directly about ECU.

 Discussing only ECU will become somewhat boring, as news comes out only so often, and we all know the basic story and beliefs of the reasonable posters commenting on ECU.
