It is past 13:30 eastern time for me and I have only four stocks that are negative on the day. One was hit hard this morning (-12%) probably to trigger stops and margins but recovered most of the loss and I have no cash to take advantage, Ouch. The rest are -3 to +4%. The spare cash is tied up partly in a few extra ECU which I have for sale but they will not likely sell unless silver rises rapidly to $21+, or slowly to $22+.
I think the doldrums we are seeing in our sector is largely due to Bear Sterns types selling to stave off bankruptcy or cheap take overs. I also expect that type of selling to continue because the financial crisis is far from over. So continued patience is the norm.
Is JP Morgan next? That would really upset the Fed's/cartel's apple cart. Obviously they will not let that happen, right?
