Add ECU Silver (ECU.V = ECUXF in United States, EC1.DE on German Xetra) which is currently at C$1.97 per share. Outstanding shares number 242 million, with market cap of C$478 million. Its stock price chart shows a stable base foundation poised for a big rise.



More information will be provided in April. ECU has one giant property in particular that has advanced progress. This week ECU announced that an independent NI 43-101 compliant technical report on its Velardena District Properties in Durango Mexico has been filed on the SEDAR system. The disclosed resource estimate (see news release on 24 January 2008) defined the following mineral resources of silver (& equivalent): Measured Resource of 24,768,000 ounces, Indicated Resource of 12,864,000 ounces, Inferred Resource of 179,004,000 ounces. The report also details additional mineral potential existing within the Velardena Properties that has not been included in the mineral resource estimate. This mineral resource potential has been reviewed by MICON, estimated at between 464,660,000 to 806,503,000 ounces of silver and equivalent. Mining firms choose to list byproduct metals, like zinc or lead, in terms of equivalent ounces of silver from value terms. ECU has a very large silver deposit on hand, there now, with some big open-ended discovery potential.



ECU Silver Mining is focused on the exploration, development, and mining of gold, silver, and base metals at its Velardena District Properties in Durango Mexico. The area includes five historical mines: Santa Juana, Terneras, San Mateo, San Juanes, and the San Diego mine. ECU is working toward defining the Mineralized Corridor at Santa Juana as well as several higher grade narrow veins within the area. The ECU mission is to become a pre-eminent silver producer through the development of existing, and additional potential resources at Velardena.

Looks like the recemendation in yesterday's issue has given ECU a nice boost in volume.
