Edgy, you don't want to get me started on how poorly Ontario has manged it's economy the last 15 years versus the previous 40 years Edgy and I will refrain on this site. Just let me say that you can't have a manufactruing based economy without low business taxes and abundant reasonably priced energy. Ontario was once a leader in nuclear energy generation with all it's associated economic spinoffs of educated and highly trained and well paid people and sourcing of all componenets to build this industry within the province. They through it all away through left wing idiocy. Right now not only should Ontario have many more nuke plants with everything sourced in the province but they should have made an industry of supplying the US with power while supplying reasonably priced power to their manufacturing base. The revenue would be substantial. I also would dam up a few rivers/lakes like Quebec to supply more hydro generated power. I have spoken out about this issue for years but with it's useless in the left wing dominated society of today.

I could point out many other issues which have placed Ontario in the unenviably position they are in today through their own political stupidity but this board is not the appropriate place. They have made their bed, as has Quebec, and now they should lie in it.

The fundamentals for the CDN dollar suggest a $1.15 level and that's where it will go over time and businesses better get more competitive after years on a false sense of productivity with a cheap CDN dollar.

BTW, Harper has next to nothing in common with George Bush and it's a laugh everytime I hear someone say this.
