....trends are created by buyers and sellers.  There has to be a reason why ECU created the 1.30 low last August, and rose by around 100% over the following 2 months.  That can only be demand over supply, or more buyers than sellers.  When the market motivates more buyers than sellers you have a trend.  Trends can be plotted, and the trend lines are those that I illustrated, both on the buying side and on the selling side.   Support flor the stock is deliverd by mor ebuyers than sellers, or some buyers and almost no sellers.

   There are various disciplines that are interested in the dynamics underlying the trends, astrocycles, economic cycles, fibonacci, and gann to name but a few.

If all forms of TA could be summarised into one or two paragraphs, and accurately forecasted  it would be extremely easy to learn, and everybody would be multimillionaires.  Clearly that isnt the case, but equally doesnt make any of it invalid, although individual tools applied on their own are likely to be weak, my opinion.
