Just heard today from a friend who has a 100,000 unit order for barbeques that he will switch it to Mexico because costs are up 20% this year for his units in China and Mexico is now cheaper. This confirms for me what I have expected for about a year and been hearing about for a few months, that China would soon export inflation instead of deflation to the US and Canada. It may not yet happen to those countries with stronger currencies like the euro, yen and swiss franc.
