I use plain text editors to write my posts before posting. They are more compatible with e-mail and board editors. Word processors use their own and often unique ways of handling things like tabs and indents and that is where the problems begin.
However if your intent is to incorporate photographs and charts then you have no choice but default to your favourite processor.
