VHF - Your post regarding manipulation is a must read not just for today but probably on a monthly basis for the next few months just to keep us reminded just some of what has been manipulated.
May I state one of my pet peeves of gauging instead of manipulation:
A farmer recently stated on TV that a box of Kellogs corn flakes has about five cents worth of corn in it, even with the recent rise in corn, according to him let it be ten cents worth.
I go to my local store to buy that box of corn flakes and not only was it 40 times the price of the corn in it, now with the rise in corn to almost double it is still 40+ times the price of corn in it at the new corn price! Of course the price of fuel to transport the corn and deliver the box to the store has gone up 25 percent in the past couple of months but to raise the price of production and delivery associated with that box by 100 percent is gauging in the extreme.
Such is the dilema that we face with large corporations and the powerful that take our jobs out of the country and sell us products at many times the price that it ought to be.
