I had to go back and check kitco a few minutes ago on the assumption that gold and silver must have given up all of their gains after 2pm (the usual cartel scheduled raid... but there is NO manipulation!). It turns out both metals are still well in the green, but all just based on random trading the juniors are mostly deep into the red this afternoon.

Meanwhile, more horrific data continues to roll out from the financials and it should surprise no one that most of the financials are in the green. For example Washington Mutual's COO admitted that more losses are on the way, this coming after a massively dilutive financing last month that DOUBLED the share capital in the float! And WaMu is up by 3% today. Its absolutely off the charts to see this kind of nonsense day after day.

But its all just normal trading. Right.
