Friday we witnessed some very unique trading activity in many of the small and mid sized silver juniors as persistent small lot trades flooded the trading ticker. Then with only a few minutes left in trading volume unexpectedly and dramatically increased in these same silver miners. The result was strong advances in share price for ECU, HL and CDE, while others like PAAS and SSO moved laterally or lower. I'm at a loss to explain the unusual and extreme volume witnessed in the last 15 minutes yet I'm not that naive to believe it is without merit. Below are the daily charts for your reference.
