The Truth anyone?

Where hides the truth?
We awake this morning to the spectacular $100 million Olympic opening ceremonies with Sarah Brightman (with a Chinese look) singing like an Asian Angel. The fireworks were the most brilliant I have ever seen. Meanwhile, not to be outdone, the $US soars dichotomously on similarly breathtakingly bad US economic news in financial land coming from all directions, building an inverse pyramid built on a metastasizing tyranny, yet another layer higher. China will get the world’s attention onstage while the US political and financial mandarins work feverishly behind the global scenes pulling strings on all the financial, corporate, political and media puppets. China will ignore all this for now and enjoy itself whilst basking in the sun, quite snug in the fact that when it is all over and having won the most medals ever, it can then again turn it’s energies to becoming the most powerful nation on earth. Mind you, since they are two generations ahead in the global proficiency of athletic doping prowess, what does it matter for now that the US is overdosing on paper? China will soon come out with the scissors trumping the dollar. .
Freddie Mac shares (with its equally miserable sad story revealed last week, and all but forgotten) rise on the news that Fannie Mae has lost billions more. Between the two of them they are now leveraged out by more than $220 to every $1 on deposit. Investors rush to the “safe haven” of US bonds. All commodities are trashed along with oil. The $UD shorts are annihilated along with the $ Canuck and Euro longs. The TSX and its Venture Exchange are sharply down on opening while the DOW and the Nasty and the S&P are up.
Behind another curtain we see that Britain is going to increase its military forces in Afghanistan, while Canadian and other NATO countries step up their contributions. The US has announced a $10 Billion plan to increase the Afghan army by 50,000 troops. Sniff, sniff…what is downwind from Iran? This is just today’s news remember.
What do these few facts on falsehood from today tell us? Well, it reminds me of what Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote about the truth: “Violence does not live alone…it is necessarily interwoven with falsehood.” Violence through the exercise of might will in the end succumb to the truth. History is littered with examples of such folly to which the human race pays no heed and it does not learn from. So, it seems that while the lies and falsehoods compound on a daily basis, so will the implementation of violence…necessary to cyclically suppress the truth. The truth he predicted, is too enduring, too convincing, too forceful, to be resisted head-on; it could only be denied, ignored or suppressed (like gold). So, in the end, the truth came out about Stalin and slave labour and all such evil exploits…as it always has throughout history. One must never forget though, that telling the truth often requires remarkable courage. Enough courage to relinquish one’s safety, freedom or even one’s life and/or the lives of loved ones. Rare courage indeed. Alexander Solzhenitsyn is but one example.
Where lies the truth today? The truth about the cascading falsehoods and the tyranny which will end in violence, because it is far too soon for the truth to be unleashed? Do the Kudlows’, Cramers’, Gartmans’, CNBC muppets and a cast of thousands bring us the truth daily on a silver platter? Where are many examples when it comes to the U.S. and those endeavouring to expose the truth against the dark forces of power manipulating the governments, markets, press, media and financial empires. The contemporary pioneers of courage and truth seekers include Bill Murphy, GATA, Chris Powell, Jim Sinclair, Ted Butler, Ed Steer, John Embry and many others who come to mind, many championing the cause for almost ten years now exposing the manipulation of the bullion markets orchestrated to hide the financial disease of inflation and the demise of U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency, in essence the death of freedom in America overseen by the privately owned Federal Reserve Banks.
One Patrick Byrne of Overstock.com is another, ridiculed for his lengthy battle against the manipulators of Wall St. and the billions of dollars stolen by way of illegal naked shorting. He has had some vindication with the capping of naked shorting by those involved with the dark side…but at least his cause has gained some public visibility. Has the SEC come clean? No, but it took a gargantuan effort to achieve this tiny milestone in the struggle against falsehood. While hundreds are screaming for protection, the SEC drags its feet. Where is their courage? Meanwhile the forces of evil step up their blistering campaign against the truth that Byrne courageously struggles to expose. Byrne, once a golden boy, has been quietly told that he is the most hated man on Wall St. while his business suspiciously withers with his ongoing crusade for the truth. Byrne understands this of course since he knows it will cost billions for many hedge funds implicated in profiting from the game of illegal naked shorting. He says it will get ugly. Here is a man that is no slouch who exemplifies courage and can walk the walk being an ex pro-boxer, black belt in martial arts, cancer survivor, marathon cycler, doctorate and scholar.
So, where hides the truth? It hides with those who are today showing exemplary courage in the face of incredible power, in the footsteps of Alexander Solzhenitsyn, railing against a power that so fears the truth that it must mask it at any consequence until violence releases it once again. It is vouched for by gold which stands in the way of the hidden confiscation of wealth and in the protection of property rights, as the former Greenspan once acknowledged. In essence it stands for freedom.
