Whatever the reason is, they recent gains seen in the USD are approaching the end of its shelf life. There is absolutely no fundamental reason for long term bull in uncle buck so expect this bear rally to expire shortly.

Have a look a goldrunner's the long term USD chart below and notice how it is approaching heavy resistance in the 76.80 range.
