In all the years I have been investing I have never witnessed strength in a currency when major financial upheaval is ongoing and the fundamentals are deteriorating like in the US presently. Unless this is some sort of new paradigm, some people are drinking too much Koolaid.
The standard argument is that the rest of world is worse off and I know those making this pitch or believing this pitch have really drunkl too much Koolaid.
I am not anti the US but the piper must be paid for living far beyond ones means and the sooner he is paid the sooner real fundamental improvements can begin. At the rate the US is going that may never occurr and this is not good and will drive gold higher and the dollar lower, it can be no other way.
