For those that didn't think that the POG is manipulated, or for those who had any lingering doubts, these last few weeks have given a really clear demonstration. The $40-$80 drops into an abyss over very short periods, sometimes half hour or so, speaks volumes.

What isn't talked much about, are those very strong runs to the upside, okay, maybe not quite as often or as large or as quick as those to the downside, but they have happened as well. Hey, those aren't manipulation, right? That's only the natural course of things, when the Cartel isn't looking!!!

And the constant remarks by all gold fans of the Cartel on their last legs - let it go, they have demonstrated excellent legs, and many of them over a long period of time. The POG has been rising for many years now - but, at each stage, the opportunities to make a lightning quick buck, up or down have presented themselves. the folks doing the manipulating are able to orchestrate the moves almost surgically (to use political-speak, "with a scalpel, not a butcher knife"). I think they are making a lot of money on these huge, quick swings, whereas most of us watch with our mouths open, wondering how, why, when.

There ought not be so much wonder, as many who visit this board are full believers in manipulation of the PM markets - and we've been witness to just how powerful they appear to be, but, yet, here we are, awaiting the "last legs," the "exhaustion of ammunition," the powerful rally when everyone eschews every last investment, except one.

Been waiting a long time. Likely be waiting longer.
