I must admit to not knowing a lot about the precious metals and mining markets. Although I've always been a closet gold bug, most of what I know I have learned during the last year or so, mostly by lurking on this site ( thanks all ). However speaking from a human nature stand point ( greed works ), I suspect that "the malignant interests" will not be content to take their profits by driving precious metals down to the bitter end, then just walking away with their gains.

I would suspect that at some point, they will turn coat, buy precious metals and stocks, and drive and ride the price up as far as they can. Perhaps seeing that will be the signal that the turn around is nigh. After all, it's not in their interests to drive the juniors into receivership, just almost so. I'm not speaking here of the corporate entities, banks etc. so much as the senior individuals in the know. After all, what good is it to them to make a fortune in US$ just as hyperinflation wipes them out? Or am I missing something ?
