When all of this economic BS started, I figured I would just hold on for dear life. Well I got battered like everyone else. But, I am not on any margin, so no forced selling. I also had some coin from the QGX buyout, so I kept putting in stink bids for ECU and they got filled all the way down to 80 cents. I never got any of the 50 cent shares (at least this year - I did a few years back - even less than 50 cents).

I have the huge advantage of running my own company that is growing very quickly, so I cannot spend as much time here as I used to. Plus, I am not a trader by nature. Nevertheless, I still hold a very large number of ECU shares and had a very pleasant surprise this evening. I read through the posts - nice to see the faithful gang are still around. Good on you.

I never doubted that this company has the goods and I have always been impressed with management. In the end, fundamentals rule. Maybe the market is finally starting to realize it too.

I did notice that most of the buying came out of US firms. Thanks for the post on that. Maybe we have caught the attention of someone who has $700 billion sitting around waiting for a home. Sorry, that should be $630 billion. We can't forget that the US taxpayer has to pay a commission on the bailout.

Oh, and as for the auto folks, I don't see anyone from GS flying in seat 31B. The car folks are in trouble, but they did not create this mess. Why are we giving everything to the people who caused the problems in the first place? Yes, it's a deeper issue than that. Just doesn't seem right.
