This guy has a point...a huge bubble of tanker oil has just been force fed int the markets. It is a very temporary bulge-in-the-snake so to speak. It has just passed through. I don't know a dam thing about oil but this may be something to consider. It's all oil smoke and smudged mirrors. We all know supply and demand haven't changed much at all. In fact, anecdotal reports suggest Americans are consuming as much as ever...and demand is up globally...a big secret. Believe it or not, some Americans are reported to be trading their old SUV's that got 14 MPG for new SUV's that get 18 MPG. Sales are down but people are still driving... the price at the pumps has everyone most complacent again. Talk about a knee jerk consumer.
I smell a huge gas/oil bubble here that is going to explode and knock the @#@#&^* out of the ridiculous low prices we are witnessing. Now we know why OPEC didn't reduce supply. they know what is coming ASAP. Man, when this thing blows, the PPT are going to end up with a lot more than whisker burns. Obama won't have trouble ID-ing the culprits. How will he hide them with that soot all over their snouts?
Oh, and this is just an after "bubble" thought, can you imagine what will happen if oil "escapes" ? There's a whole new "Goldfinger" in the making.
Who said the markets were boring. Just like Canadian politics...the sleeping giants are getting pissed off.
