It is for Total open interest across al current offerings. Not just the nearest contract.

Don's data is a correct summary of the official data provided. The problem is mine in a poor explanation of the data. The precise number as of 13 Feb was 43,934. Each contract has its own spreadsheet page and the TNOI is the summary page for all open contracts.
