It's sad to see so many disposessed people suffering needlessly. After all what would it cost the government to provide these folks with a warm dry bed & three square meals? Not a heck of a lot and certainly no more than the smallest sliver compared to the Trillion$ handed out to prop up zombie corpse investment firms & retail banks. Yet there isn't a penny to spare for those who have hit rock bottom and need our help the most. Why is this so? Where is the general outrage and more importantly why does the President do nothing, not even lift a finger to help these people? Why no budget pork for them? Could it be they simply can't afford a lobbyist & political bribes? Has the US already reached the point of no return and it's every man for himself? That seems to be the direction they're headed as this Titanic economy is steering itself foot by foot into the abyss. The ruling elite sure talks the talk during election time but when it comes down to brass tacks, they couldn't give a hoot for the average Joe in his time of need. So let's call a spade a spade. The government will not take care of you when the chips are down. And if the government does not intend to provide for the average American, but bends over backwards for it's political donors, then has the time already passed for meaningful government reform and America is already well down the road towards tyranny and a totalitarian state that looks more like the Mexico & South America where most people live from hand to mouth? If this kind of attitude towards the ever growing displaced persists then Jim Puplava is going to have to seriously rethink his theory about a soft Depression outcome.
