Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
I guess the reason I suggested 500 tpd is a slam dunk for the new mill is because it is a slam dunk. I suspect your difficulty in visualizing is because you aren't fully aware, yet have an opinion. I suggest doing some serious DD like I do before opening one's mouth. Your one liner approach was far from a question and more like you were questioning my perspective while offering no info of your own. My view may well prove to be wrong but it's based on the best information I can garner and I was trying to help another poster on this site who had a question. Instead of saying nothing, which I may do in the future, I tried to offer some help as we like to do, when we can, on this board.
Many of the logistics have all already been worked out even if few details have been released, funding is in place as anyone who reads the press releases will know, the company has 240 trained and experienced employees and 95% of the equipment is in the mill already and has been on care and maintenance since 2005. It doesn't get much easier expecially since ECU used to operate this mill but it's true the work of checking lines and installing and testing pumps etc., has to get done. As I have stated before I expect the mill in operation in 4-5 weeks at the companies stated 300 tpd start-up tonnage and producing some precipitate in 7-8 weeks.
Then they will concentrate on efficiency, recovery enhancements and process before starting to consider increasing production, this timeline can't be assessed at this time but it likely won't take long. The next phase of expansion is not hard to do from a process standpoint but it does mean alterations in mine planning to increase muck etc and more time and some eqipment aqcquisition.
From my perspective 500 tpd is not too difficult and I will be happy with this for quite some time since it will have a major impact on the bottom line of the company in concert with the 300 tpd sulphide mill operation. Things are about to change quite significantly for ECU.
