Since they are big enough to drive the currency and commodity markets short term, I believe this contrarian movement of Gold and the Dollar is an effort to put many people on a wrong footing and shake out as many people as they can out of the Gold arena, before they drive the price much higher.

Why should they drive the PM's higher? They don't have any interest in that and they shown us countless time that it's so easy to steal us over and over again, using the same dirty tricks.
