Every one gets their turn to keep the price suppressed.
I see Pic doesn't go for the Murphy's Law explanation, that's fine, I don't know for fact either, just seems more reasonable than everyone else's guess.
So, why would Citigroup be selling ECU at this point in time? To make a profit? When did they buy?
I can see one of two reasons, maybe both.
1. Citigroup is really hurting for cash. Now that seems very reasonable; or
2. It is their turn to hurt Murphy.
A third possibility:
3. Maybe they're just unloading their losers for something better. This seems the most probable to me, actually. But darn, does the timing really suck, and on a news day, too. Darn, now #2 seems most believable.
Oh well, I bought a few more shares this morning.
