Hi Everyone. I am a longtime holder of quite a bit (at least for me!) of ECU, and have been reading with interest most of the posts here for quite some time. I goes without saying that I believe ECU is the best fundamental silver mining play in the world right now. But I have one large question that I would like to have some discussion, which is the subject of naked short selling. If you believe that naked shorting is indeed happening in not only our beloved ECU, but in reality in every market in Canada and the US, and I certainly do, then all the talk about the shorts having to cover in any market to me seems illogical. IF entities are creating stock out of thin air to short, WHY would they ever have to cover? There are a lot of very sophisticated investors out there reading this. Can you please respond with your thoughts on this? What will the end of naked shorting look like? Will anyone have to cover? How can 3+ million shares trade in the past 3 days with so little effect? The only plausible answer to me seems that there is massive naked shorting and no one cares a hoot about ever having to cover. I hope I'm not seeing something that someone else can show me.
All the best fellow ECU owners!
