I am also european, though now 50 years in Canada. Perhaps that is why I agree with what you said.

I regard National Post as a conservative paper, though canadian and my not being so, I rarely read it. I wonder what a liberal paper would have said about Obama.

I do appreciate Obama being elected but I must add that I would have preferred if he had broken completely with all the people that were involved in getting the US into this mess. Yes it would be a hard bullet to bite and the dollar would have dived but it would be a fresh start. Obama not so much stole the ball from the Republicans as they simply fumbled it. They took freedom to mean free to do as they like as long as they do not get called or cought and forgot that they were there to serve the people first and not their cronies. Plain and simple, a disgusting tragedy.

As is, it is a delayed recovery and may not succeed as well and soon as hoped.
