ECU has a validated 43-101 completed by Micon, a world class firm, outlining 431 million ounces silver eq. which includes M&I and inferred for gold, silver and base metals. Micon also confirmed a further mineral potential resource of 569 to 930 million ounces of silver equivalent based on gold and silver only so not including base metals which would be in addition.

See the press release dated Dec 10, 2008 if you are really interested and then for a very detailed analysis there are 2 sedar filings dated Jan 28, 2009 on the resource that are both about 180 pages in length for Velardena and San Diego.

The resource has grown by over 100% per year for 3 years running, an excellent result to date.

I have little doubt that ECU will have a resource of at least one billion silver eq. ounces before done and maybe more as the massive sulphide feeder system becomes better illuminated and understood.
