Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
Agree 100% with your statement Lawnbowler.
Also:
This trading is not for profits based on one or two penny difference. It is to keep the share price down and any holders to become disillusioned with the stock and sell. They are trading from one hand into the other and then back again while losing some to opportunists who take advantage of a great buy but at the same time making up the loss from those who give up. As long as more give up than take advantage of, they are ahead.
Management does have some control but that is in a normal market and situation. This by no means is normal, it not only stinks but reeks of manipulation.
Last Fall one of my stocks behaved in similar fashion after an initial buy-out offer fell through. After a while the share price started to trade in the cellar and an improved buyout surfaced followed by an overt pressure campain to sell. The majority of the shares are tightly held so the initial offer had no chance. Special tactics had to be used with the second offer, needless to say it also fell through and now is destined to end up in court over those very tactics.
Who bothers about manipulating companies that hold dubious assets, on the other hand history is full of deeds when it is deemed worth while. The economy is on the ropes so just about anything can be justified. Short selling is illegal in Canada, that is my understanding, So what? Share price can be manipulated all the same just through different means. And who says it is not done in the States?
I fear a repeat performence due to the similar behaviour to my other stock hold.
