Oh well, at least here in the States we get to celebrate our past freedoms. Of course 99% of the citizenry will do their normal parade watching, chow down on BBQ, drink beer and get more stupid, then go watch fireworks, not even thinking about what the day used to represent.

I'm sure there will also be some big gala event on the mall in D.C. to provide useless tripe about our founding fathers and the sacrifices they went through so that today's bought politicians could have cushy jobs, better retirement plans, luxury galore for doing nothing more than lying to the people they should be serving.

Just so there's no misunderstanding - I love my country and all it stands for, it's my government I can't stand, except for Ron Paul, who I wrote in for President in this last election.
