Sitting on Silver?

I have this odd feeling that as gold runs up to $1250+, silver will be at $17.70.
As gold is now at $1130 tonight, silver keeps running into this ceiling below $18. It's almost as if it's an attempt to make sure silver doesn't confirm the rise in gold, hoping that if silver doesn't confirm, then maybe gold will stop rising.
