In October ECU produced 631 ounces of gold and 34,576 ounces of silver. At the current gold silver ratio of 62.177 that is 73,810 ounces of silver equivalent per month or 885,718 ounces per year. ECU still is not firing on all cylinders since the pyrite roaster and sulphide mill did not operate most of last month and the 400 tpd gold pyrite tailings circuit is yet to be built. ECU also had said something about a secondary trickling water circuit that would recover half of the metal that did not leach in the original oxide mill operation. It also appears that recoveries of the oxde mill are low, possibly because ores with high sulphide content are still being fed. It is my hope that ECU gets up to an annual rate of production of 2 to 2.5 million ounces silver equivalent once these operations are implemented. At $20 silver that will be sales of $40 to $50 million per year or $3.33 to $4.17 million per month. The sulphide mill will also produce lead and zinc that will help the profitability.
