Personally I don't see the big deal. The PP at .70 with a full warrant for 5 years was a much sweeter deal and I don't believe it sold out. So anyone whining has no basis to do so because there was plenty of cheap paper and options to go around. If you think the company wanted to do another financing you are wrong. IMO they thought they could get to cash-flow positive but came up a whisker short.
