And we're all waiting for a COMEX default?
All futures contracts are almost being forced to settle using paper. For any holder that has the ability to make the COMEX deliver physical, it's just a simple matter of waiting forever for delivery, er, um, I mean a slight delay.
Perhaps some major powers can force delivery, such as governments, but I don't really see that happening as long as governments want to buy gold down here in the cheap $1200 area.
When the system totally collapses, then the COMEX will fail. Until then, the paper games will continue to slow gold's rise.
I just hope there's a systemic collapse before the Mayans have the last say. I'd like to be able to see my waiting pay off before: 1) I die of old age, or 2) the world as we know it ends.
