Personally, I had the impression Hamilton was referring to James Turk, who (if I remember well) has been writing about the Gold ETF soon after it started and who ofcourse has his own Gold money business. But i may be mistaken.

I have been subscribing to Hamilton's newsletter for one year in 2004. I must say that he has introduced some excellent technical concepts, such as relative Gold, but as you say, he is very fond of himself and I disliked his opinion outside the gold arena.
