This final shakeout thing, I don't know. I've read that so many times, for so many years, not only here, but all over. This shakeout may be the final one of Jan 2010, but I think were experiencing volatility, promoted, if not controlled, by powers that continue to hold sway over the markets, notwithstanding protestations and reports of their past or impending demise.
Hard to believe SLV, GLD and GDX are down signficantly at a time when currencies seem to be flushing themselves in an ever-steepening and accelerating spiral.
It's all hard to figure on a day to day basis, especially. That's why someone like GWR with very much of a long term perspective is not subject to the strong winds which buffet the majority of us in the short term (or, if he is, he sure doesn't let on - LOL).
