Nice to see some green for my juniors, in fact all green.

Last week was a rough week for my team. Really didn't expect the bombing, but I should know better after all these years. Doesn't pay to think too far ahead.

Most of my juniors and many of the others I follow seem to be caught in the jaws of some kind of algorithmic formula that pays little to no attention to fundamentals.

Doesn't seem to matter if a junior has stellar news or not. If the black box is in the sell mode, down she goes like all the rest. Same the other way around. Just have to wait for some event or whatever to occur to break what appears to me to be a mathematical lock on the way many juniors seem to behave. Gold up several bucks, oil and dow up some, etc., should make the difference between red and green? Hard to figure out how these quants think.

When some of us bought into the ECU story prior to 2000, ECU had a market cap of about 10 million, at least according to Bill Murphy. Now, of course, it's north of 200 million with 7 or 8 times more shares, which gives one an idea of how much money those in the know have made shorting and covering into each new PP. Like their own ATM machine.

Perhaps we've seen the last of this stuff. If so, it will be time for us to make the big bucks.
