Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
Your dealings with mountains not flat land. The main adit for Santa Juana at this time comes in at level 12 which is like half way up the mountian and the company has well developed drifts down to level 19. The massive sulphides start at approximately level 32 and each level is about 40 metres. The development of a major new ramp was started quite some time ago and is being driven to enter the Santa Jauna mine at level 18 or 19, this ramp is being driven from a lower valley around the mountain. It's not a big deal to drive this ramp down to level 32 when it's required, a pretty simple engineering job that will take a some time and money. This is a classic case of how the facts can be twisted to make it appear this is a problem and not doable.
The fact is that this project has over 20 km of already well developed drifts and at least 2 adits with a third being developed now. This is a huge amonut of development that is not required going forward that new mines must develop, a huge advantage for ECU going forward as production ramps up.
